Idomu: MB w124 3.0-turbo
 
The car in question is a 1990 W124 300E with a twin turbo conversion by a company called Turbo Technics, which was one of the best Turbo conversion companies here in the UK in the 80's/early 90's.

The conversion itself was carried out by a Mercedes Main Dealer by the name of Hughes of Beaconsfield who had the sole authority to undertake these conversions.

The car was converted when new and lifted power from 190bhp to 310bhp!!![:D....making it the fastest right hand drive W124 you could get....apart from the 1 or 2 right hand drive AMG Hammers that were produced.

Having had a 500E in the past which produced 326bhp, I can honestly say that this twin turbo is even faster than the 500E.....the power is more instantanious and the acceleration is even better.

The great thing about this car, is that the bodywork is completely standard, ie no bodykit, no big alloys....it still runs on 15" 15 hole alloys!!!

The only give away is the slightly larger exhaust system which is a stainless steel system with two large square pipes out the back.

The car was specified with sportline suspension on it from new, so it sits slightly lower, but other than that its a standard 300E, with the exception of ASR, which was not a common fitting on W124's here in the UK in the early 90's.

Personally this is how I like my cars, ie a wolf in sheeps clothing as the looks on other drivers faces as you out-accelerate them in standard looking 16 year old Benz, is very, very funny.

Despite having 170,000 miles on the clock, the car drives like a 50,000 mile car. It was meticulously maintained by the 2 owner who had the car for 11 years....I have service history and bills totalling £25,000 for the last 11 years....$42,500!!

Quite a car, but sadly one that will only be in my possession for a short period of time, as I already have too many W124's.

If somebody is interested in taking this very rare W124 off my hands, then let me know.....fast!

Kiek ish praktikos yra teke susidurti, tai,kai ant dangtelio nusilupe dazhai, taip konkrechiai kaip nuotraukoj, tai variklis buvo perkaitintas.
gal sutapimas ? bet itarimas negeras kyla :xx:

nu ir tegu jis ten kaitintas, jei tik slangu nepucia ir bakelyje nera koses viskas gerai. faktas kad tiek galios turintis variklis spinduliuoja daugiau silumos. pas kas antra m103 nusilupes tas dangtelis, o kad butu jiem galvos truke, tarpines prapustos dar negirdejau.

nesiginchisiu su specialistu, bet buten priesh kokia savaite, teko pamatyti toki atidaryta varikli (su nusilupusiais dazhais), teisingai, tarpine gera,galva gera,- bet visa kita, shokolado spalvos ir spaudimas 0.5 ant karshto, nors vedasi ir veikia grazhiai. Kompresija gaidys,cilindrai rudi.
Tik tiek,-sakau,ka machiau.
a,- prabeges 130.000km,- tik apie 20km, vazhiavo be vandens.
